This app runs on its own database, shared with no other application. It has no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party scripts. Traffic is encrypted, and your session cookie is encrypted. You control export and deletion.
What is not true: this is not a medical device, not a therapist, and not an emergency service. It is not HIPAA compliant and does not claim to be. Vercel and your database provider are infrastructure companies with operational access to their systems.

Device lock
A PIN locks this app after five minutes of inactivity, and it re-checks that whenever you switch back to it. It is a defense against someone picking up your unlocked phone — it is not device encryption and it will not stop anyone with real access to the hardware. Ten wrong attempts clear the data held on this device, including anything not yet sent to the server. The crisis screen is never locked.
