Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
What it means
The awakening is usually not dramatic. It is noticing you paused where you used to pursue.
How abandonment distorts it
Helping others can become another way of managing people and avoiding myself.
In this marriage
Practicing these principles at home means the same honesty and the same boundaries I would use anywhere else.
Inside me
Service is also proof of identity. It goes in Evidence of Me.

- Do not use service to avoid your own recovery, and do not rescue people. Carrying a message is not fixing anyone.
